Local folklore

:: >>

On the last saturday it happened a live staging in Jericoacoara streets getting back the local folklore which was not being practiced since 10 years ago.
The dance called “Reisado" is one of the richiest and more appreciated folklore presentations, especially on Northeast. It's part of Jesuitas Celebrations, being presented from December 24th until January 6th, which means Christmas, Ano Bom (New Year) and Reis.
"Reisado" is formed by pastors and people looking for having fun that get together at a ranch and then start visiting people showing their dance and music.
The streets become full of artists and curious people recovering a culture that many thought it was already lost.
