| Going to Jericoacoara by car can be more comfortable than catching a bus, especially if you have a 4WD, and you will be able to go directly to Jericoacoara or can also stop on the way to get to know other beaches. There are car rental companies inside Fortaleza airport. The road to is not well posted, so we highly reccommend you a map.(check link below). If you are not going in a 4WD vehicle, you won't be able to cross the sand area from Jijoca to Jeri, therefore better find a parking area to leave your car and get a pickup transfer called "jardineira" (R$ 10 per person), note that this service is normally to find from 8am until 2pm.
