There is a bus service from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara, operated since 1966. The company offers a VIP service which runs everyday with a morning and an afternoon departure.

After the route Fortaleza / Jijoca or Preá, the passengers are expected to move to the four-wheel-drive pick-up truck ("jardineira") to reach Jeri.
