One of the most popular daily rituals in Jeri is to watch the sun make its ascent and descent from the top of "Sunset Dune" - which stands west of the village.

Between hundreds and thousands of people start walking towards the dune from around 17:00 every day. The setting sun is followed by a round of applause from the audience, before they make their way back down from the dune.
